The image was so surprising that many believed it was AI-generated. RSPCA confirmed that there were 250 dogs found in one home. When it was confirmed that the photo was indeed real, it sparked discussion on animal welfare, and backyard breeders.

The RSPCA in the UK said that this is not the first time they have seen something like this, stating that there have been 4200 incidents in England in the last year. The physical and mental health of these dogs is impacted by these living conditions, and the neglect they experience. The RSPCA presents that many of these cases are linked to mental health struggles, living costs, or socioeconomic challenges. Although heartbreaking, this is not an excuse. No animal should ever end up in this position.
